Description
The Symcom Pump Saver Plus Model 233-P is a pump monitor for 230V single-phase submersible pumps rated from 1/3 HP to 3 HP. It is designed to protect 2- or 3-wire pumps from dry-well, dead-head, jammed impeller, rapid cycle, overvoltage, and undervoltage conditions.
A calibration adjustment helps match the unit to specific pumping applications and reduce nuisance tripping. Its microcontroller-based voltage, power factor, and current-sensing circuit monitors for power fluctuations, overcurrent, and underload conditions. When an abnormality is detected, the unit deactivates its output relay, disconnects the pump motor, and starts a user-selectable restart delay timer before allowing the pump to turn back on.
